Meridian and Acupuncture (7)

The naming and definition of acupuncture points

Today I will talk a little bit about the definition of acupoints. In the past, we felt that this cultural background has not been valued by Chinese politicians who engage in politics for more than three thousand years. Because if you are considering a model of the Chinese imperial system, regardless of the academic discipline, the government must provide subsidies, or whatever, in order to be able to develop. So acupuncture and moxibustion, including traditional Chinese medicine, have no subsidies. Only traditional Chinese medicine. It is not subsidized. Its funding is in its own palace and there is a warehouse for imperial doctors. So it looks like the warehouse of the Imperial Medicine Room, which is only seen in Changchun in mainland China now. Because of Puyi, the Japanese are building a palace for Puyi Manzhou in Changchun, and it is just fine with colored glaze. If you have time to visit, Puyi is a famous doctor in the end, because he was re-education through labor. When thousands of people in the labor camp were sick, Puyi was able to write a prescription for pulse, according to this prescription, to grab the medicine and eat, and the patient recovered. Where is the problem? Because when he was regarded as the emperor by the Japanese, he was sitting on the toilet made in Germany and playing in the tub there. He was angry and nervous every day, so it took 3-4 hours sitting on the toilet, so he had to approve official documents there. Including reading books, he himself grabbed medicine for any illness, identified medicine by himself, and those medicine cabinets were still there. For the sake of researching, I finally found the last emperor that we thought was dumb, no. Puyi was very serious, and wanted to stand up for his family, but it was very bad to meet his grandmother, Empress Dowager Cixi. His calligraphy is beautiful, and he writes records including public funds. Puyi uses his own writing notes to withdraw, and writes how much yuan he has withdrawn on a certain day in a certain year, and how much money is left after the allocation of funds. Look at the man of the last emperor who used this money and knowledge so well. Traditional Chinese medicine has a history of at least three thousand years in China. Only Fu Yi has worked so hard to achieve current results.

Why do Japanese people study Chinese medicine? The prescription of Chinese medicine in Japan is called Hanfang, which is influenced by Fu Yi. This is not written like this in our history. In fact, it was influenced by Fu Yi. When we were going to study it, it was not called Hanfang. Call Man Fang. The prescription of Manchuria National Medicine, because of the Second World War, Japan was defeated and Manchukuo had disappeared, so when the Japanese wrote this kind of prescription, they had to write the Chinese prescription, not the national prescription, nor the Republic of China prescription, because it was thing that handed down by the Han people.

So when I talk about acupuncture points, the name of each acupuncture point is the name of a place. What about the name of the place in that era? The name of the place during the Shang and Zhou dynasties, so each of its acupoints has its meaning. Take a look. Assuming that every mountain range comes down like this. When this mountain range is separated from here, it is a valley, so you have to walk through the valley (hegu), and that's it. It uses the whole terrain as a noun. This term, the Chinese regard a person as an earth, and the north and south poles of the Ren and Du channels must be sensed. You can't say that the earth is cut in half and only has the northern hemisphere, and there is no southern hemisphere. It must exist, so in the end, Qi-blood injection actually contains. Because it is a very natural cycle. When it goes to that time and space, its qi and blood will become vigorous. Then I am studying how our qi and blood flow in the twelve meridians like this. It uses human cosmology.

So I very much agree that the doctors who study western medicine are the same as the doctors who study Chinese medicine. Why do Western medicine study death? After a person dies, it is dissected and the nervous system is listed. Everything in China is alive. In the cosmology of the human body, you are alive, so your entire structure is not necessarily the same as a dead person. It is in a cycle of activities every day. Then in this, the Chinese have thoughts, On the first day of the day, the sky is the universe, and it is a year on the earth. When it becomes a day, it is a year in our body. In a year, the sun and the moon cycle fifty-two times, which is fifty-two circulations fifty times every week.

I used to study the theory of the Book of Changes and the whole human body. I would think about it. The Chinese people are really amazing. The twenty-eight stars have exactly fifty-two suns and moons in a year, which is fifty-two weeks. 52×7=364 is only one day away, and one day away is only one-third of 360, which is extremely accurate. Therefore, it is very good to use this theory, and it is very reasonable. I worked hard to study it, and then I realized that yin and yang and left and right are a kind of balanced treatment. When such a balance, up and down It can be dealt with as long as they pass together.

The Chinese use cosmology to explain the human body. The human body is regarded as an earth, so it is regarded as a world, so the name of each acupuncture point is an existing place name.

In addition to the name of the place in the acupoint, there are also local characteristics. The first setting of acupuncture points is to use place names, which started from the Shang Dynasty to the Zhou Dynasty. Huangdi Neijing is a great work, from the Shang Dynasty to the Zhou Dynasty, after the Qin Dynasty’s literary unification, the biggest work has really remained. In addition to the history, the records of the Spring and Autumn Period, Shangshu, and the Book of Songs, there are two that have contributed the most to people. The classics, one is the Book of Changes and the other is the Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic. The Huangdi Neijing was not included in the classics by Confucianism. The inclusion of the classics is the first of the Five Classics of I Ching, but the Yellow Emperor’s Neijing was not included. Why? Because Confucianism does not understand sickness and pain, he believes that the sickness and pain of Confucianism is bestowed on you. Confucius said, the heavens will give you the power by working your muscles and bone, and you don’t need medical treatment. You should be sick. You should suffer from this serious illness, so if you don’t study it, you won’t know. Because the Chinese have such characteristics, since I don’t understand it, I just don’t learn it. What should I do if I get sick? When you are sick, you should read the Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic, because this classic is not understood by Confucian people, so they simply say that when you are sick, God is going to give you the responsibility. This period of history is not written.

Although our Huangdi Neijing does not list this in the classics that are very famous in Confucianism, it is one of the most important classics among the folk classics, because to preserve a healthy body, you must exist. What do you want to do when you exist? In this way, each acupuncture point is easy to remember. You use place names. It has no proper nouns for acupuncture points, so it will soon be accepted by everyone. It is accepted that between heaven and earth, people represent a universe.

The acupuncture points are set. Second, if there is a situation in that place, it must be written down. The place where the two mountains join together is called Hegu, and then its characteristics, the setting of the acupuncture points is like this. This place's name, its situation, and its characteristics, so the face, mouth, and the valley. This is in the medical song, I wrote the very famous medical song at the back of the book of meridian acupuncture.

Point setting third, make it into an application, divided into five elements of application rules, each acupuncture point probably has the five element application rules, the five element application rules are included in the acupuncture points in the section where the hands are not over elbows, but the feet are not over knees. Make it a rule of application of the five elements. So why does it do this? This theory comes from the Book of Changes. Taiji produces two rituals. Taiji is a person, and yin and yang are born of two rituals. Generally, we use Ren Du as its two rituals, and two rituals give birth to four images, where are the four images? Two hands, two feet. This is the four images. The four images classify it into the eight trigrams. The two instruments occupy two trigrams. The hands, heels and feet occupy six trigrams. One yin and one yang are equal to twelve meridians. This is a structure of meridians and acupoints. Then acupuncture points have a starting point and an ending point. For example, this foot Taiyin meridian, where it starts and where it ends, is different in every place it passes.

The acupuncture points of the Yin Meridian on all hands are from the chest to the fingers. The yang meridian of the hand is from the fingers to the head, which is the hand. The hand is divided into the yang meridian and the yin meridian. The yin meridian of the hand is counted from the chest to the fingers, and the yang meridian of the hand is circulated from the fingers to the head. As for the foot, on the contrary, the yang channel of the foot circulates from head to toe, and yin channel from toe to chest. The yin meridian of the hand is from the chest to the fingers, and the yang meridian of the hand is from the fingers to our head. Then there is the yang meridian of the foot, from the head to the toe, and the yin meridian of the foot from the toe to the chest, exactly one cycle.

This kind of big cycle originally has three major parts, the feet have three yin and three yang, the hands have three yin and three yang, and the three major parts are connected to the two channels of Ren and Du. What are the two lines of Ren and Du? Everyone keeps talking about that, when I taught this Chinese medicine in the lecture hall of National Taiwan University in 1949. I opposed it at that time. It was not in emergency situations. I opposed direct injections. I was eventually kicked out. I was not the first one. Research medical. The second you are just a Shuzixian. Well, it was only finalized from 1962 to 1992, and it took 40 years to finalize the decision. Now you go to the emergency room and you are not given an injection. At most, it is a blood test. You are all told to eat. You must use what you eat. Why do you want to eat? We are a natural living thing. What you eat will only absorb what you need. Then you will not absorb what you don’t need, and you will not be poisoned. , Injection is not! Regardless of whether you want it or not, if you let it enter, what you don't want will cause a problem in you, and a chemical effect will cause a problem. So we have too many diseases and can't be cured. There will be too many tumors. What we don't need can't be stuffed in, and what you don't need can't be discharged after stuffing.

Unless you have been infected by the environment, you originally had a very proper supply. You can eat in this way from the Ren and Du channels, and eat properly, you are probably very healthy. Now everyone is trying their best to destroy the original things and let you do this. The sense of taste is abnormal, and the food that cannot be eaten becomes delicious. If you eat food that cannot be eaten, you will get sick. Research has turned it into delicious food, so that you can absorb it, and made the unabsorbable product so that you can absorb it. It's over, so there is legislation in foreign countries that people under a few years old can't drink cola. Taiwan’s Ministry of Education also has legislation that states that Coke cannot be sold in school welfare agencies. This is correct. I have been talking about this for 40 years.

When there is no way for us to accept it naturally, it is a kind of medicine, what kind of medicine? When you physically need something that you can’t accept, you can use it and squeeze out the things that hurt you. This is called medicine, and this is done from the two veins of Ren and Du. The injection is directly from the heart cell collateral meridian to the blood vessel. In the end, the blood vessel is hardened. Why? Every blood vessel has to deal with what I don't want. Of course, in the first aid, life-sustaining saline or glucose solution is normally needed.

Our acupuncture point itself uses this kind of circular thinking, which is exactly the same as the natural cycle.
