Dr. Chen Yikui's View of Apprenticeship

Dr. Chen Yikui disapproved of some practitioners in the five arts circles who asked students to perform a three-kneed and nine-knock apprenticeship before they were willing to teach their students.
Some teachers asked their students to swear that they will not start classes without the teacher’s permission, or leak what they have learned, so as not to rob the teacher’s job. Students dare not surpass the teacher, take the teacher’s words as imperial decree, and dare not have any opinions. It is impossible to make a breakthrough. Teacher Chen believes that this is the culprit hindering the progress and development of Chinese culture.
Some teachers divide the disciples into true disciples, disciples, and students, and teach them different levels of knowledge. To put it bluntly, they just want to make more money. Teacher Chen said: "Kungfu is the accumulation of practical experience and cannot be taught."
Mr. Chen refused to be a disciple of others all his life, and only wanted to be an ordinary beginner student, instead of restraining it. However, the achievements and fame of Mr. Chen in his life surpassed his teachers and his fellow students.
Teacher Chen has now become a master of the Six Art Circles. He doesn't want to admit any disciples. He wants to listen to his lectures. As long as he comes to his classroom, he can teach without distinction, and all questions are answered. Everyone is equal.
Other teachers were afraid that students would grab his job, but Mr. Chen was on the contrary. He took great care of the students’ jobs. He used to teach five skills courses. As long as some students said they wanted to take courses such as Bazi, Doushu, Feng Shui, and name studies, Chen The teacher no longer opens these courses, avoiding business with the students, and creating new courses by himself.
