Meridian and Acupuncture (1) Overview (1-4)

(Dr. Chen Yi Kui)

After it cames to Taiwan, why did I learn acupuncture? After Taiwan’s recovery, there were 228 incidents in 1947 (the 36th year of the Republic of China). There was a native from the province, and we couldn’t understand Mandarin speaking. At that time, my father thought Taiwanese use this method as a political slogan, and the political struggle has harmed the people. My dad asked him what is your expertise? He said that I can work and do acupuncture. My father said that acupuncture and moxibustion are available in Japan. My father has read Japanese books. It is not bad to know that there is such a thing! This is true Chinese culture. Although my dad reads Japanese books and has novels about China, he can light up the old wind lanterns with two or three hundred people. The British lamp is very bright, almost a thousand candles, and read the Romance of the Three Kingdoms in Chinese, so the Japanese police station in our place is very afraid of my father's lead, because when my father tells the story, the Japanese police, criminal police, and under covers will all come. My mother is a laborer. We don’t believe it when sees a needle in his foot and a needle in his hand! My father had so many friends and doctors, no one believed that it would be better. There were no painkillers at that time. There were very few painkillers in 1947 (Republic of China). The five-point pearl (Wu-fen-zhu) just came out in 1951 (Republic of China), people admire it, and finally gave him something, I feel magical, don't think that you take two needles, just stick to any disease will make it better.

At that time, I imagined that when I was learning Bazi with Wu Junmin, when I was going to Wu Junmin’s house, I must go to Wanhua to take a bus. Now the bus takes the Tingzhou road. I took the train to 12 ZhangLi. One day in the mansion, the train passed the National Taiwan University Mansion. I don’t know why it can’t go on a single line. We had to get off the bus and get off along the road at that time, which is now Xinsheng South Road. At the International School, I saw acupuncture master Sun Peirong. I dreamed about it for more than ten years and then walked over. He knew that I was a Taiwanese. He said that it’s useless to learn this. He is from Shandong and said it is useless to talk about, okay! It’s useless, it’s okay. Anyway, Wu Junmin’s place is impossible to go to everyday within a month. When I was a student, he simply ran away because the National Taiwan University was very close there, so I went to see him every day. The Shandong people like to eat flour, I tried their best to carry a bag of Camel brand flour to him. His wife was very happy.

In the end, Sun Peirong suffered from a stroke. I was officially admitted after the stroke. Why did he have a stroke? There is no way to pierce your hand, then I will replace it! He said yes, then you take the book back and read it, I take it back to read the acupuncture mastery, oh! It has everything written in it, and it also says what kind of person can't pierce that day, what kind of person can't pierce what things , can't pierce after eating, can't pierce when hungry, and can't pierce anything in the end. In the end, he wanted to pierce me, but he couldn’t stick it. Why? I don’t know about the gold and silver needles. They were finished before they went in. I came back and thought about it for a long time, but it didn’t work, because I was a college student and I knew everything about science and technology. At that time, Japan had imported stainless steel wire, one kind of soft and the other kind of hard. I didn’t know where to find it. I finally found it on Taiyuan Road. I bought a hard roll and a soft roll to try it out. I went to Boai Road to buy a Chinese grinding wheel. Install the motor by yourself, ask someone else to install the car, install the screw and grind it by yourself, and finally think about it, this doesn’t work either. Someone is pumping plastic in Tainan. If someone has that plastic, the car will cost you money. I will pay you! My teacher had a stroke. He used my method to shoot. He opened a clinic on Xinsheng South Road. In the end, it was demolished and changed to Xinyi Road. There was no way. At that time, Rugongzhen was not built. We were in the 60th year of the Republic of China. When I was on Xinsheng South Road, I opened a Sun Peirong clinic. Everyone used needle sticks. At that time, I was officially accepted as an apprentice. I was the first Taiwanese. The others were from other provinces, including Zhu Xun and Zhu Shizhong, very famous old Chinese doctors. Teachers are all his students. I am the youngest, and I am the only Taiwanese.

Why is Teacher Sun Peirong being so good to me? I didn’t expect that acupuncture and moxibustion would be devoted to the Yin-Yang and Five Elements. Wu Huiping and I are experts. We can choose the date and know NaYing. Finally, I told the teacher that I can teach you. His accent is not clear. In 1972 (Republic of China), acupuncture and moxibustion was a sensation all over the world. Many students from the National Defense Medical College came to his clinic to study. I remember that at that time he adopted Sun Peirong as a teacher. At that time, one of the most famous doctors graduated from the National Defense Medical College. Ask me at the end, do you know how to tell a fortune? Yes. At the end of the day, even did the fortune-telling, I can do divination. Our teacher doesn’t have to take the pulse. You can divot it when you come, write it down and get a needle and go home when it’s done. Because of this, I called for the registration of a consortium, the first Taipei Acupuncture Center registered in the world. This is how we started. After the teacher passed away, I started to lead this group of people who were not doctors. I was teaching instead of my teacher. In fact, I used acupuncture to become a benefactor. In the end, it became my benefactor because neither Western medicine nor Chinese medicine in Taiwan could understand it. Only I understand better, I understand it better and be so ostentatious, so both Chinese and Western doctors say that I am Shuzixian, and I have been called that for thirty years.

Then I feel that this acupuncture masterpiece may be very good for me to teach, but if it is to be placed in academia, no one will accept it. So I collected acupuncture points, collected anatomy and pathology published by others, and compiled them all into a university textbook called Practical Meridian Acupuncture. So at that time, Taipei Medical College, National Taiwan University Medical College, Chinese Medical College, Kaohsiung Medical College, all the students at that time used my book, a total of 14,000 people, and 14,000 people in medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy used this book. I also give it to members of the public. Why do I have so much debt? I printed it to encourage them to study and encourage students to study on Saturdays. I am responsible for the lunch and I am responsible for the needles. They are all given to them. Everyone is very happy. Therefore, the National Salvation League recognized our teaching, so it organized self-improvement activities. Universities joined together in Hualien, Ruisui, and Yuli, and the aborigines were thrown together from start to finish. Why was it not done in the end? Because so many medical and pharmacological students of the medical school were mobilized in one year. In the second year, many aboriginal girls went to their door and committed suicide because the fifth-year university students were not in the classroom not under the sun, everyone is very beautiful and wears glasses. They are delicate when they get their needles. Girls get pierced. Self-improvement activities are all in the summer. The hands and feet are touched during the piercing period. There will be feelings or something. In this way, the girl was electrocuted and waited until the free clinic was over. In the second month, the girl flew from Hualien to Taipei to find someone she likes. She has a very strong heart and is not afraid of anything she thinks she can do. She ran to someone’s house on the spot. Say aunt xx, I’ll be your daughter-in-law, okay? That aunt said it’s not good on the spot. The girl said why it’s not good. It’s not good in my area. The next morning the aunt opened the door, and the girl slept in front of the house. That’s why next year it can't be done, all of it will be spread out. This kind of activity will not be done. It was in 1973 (Republic of China 62 and 63).

Later, I mobilized these students. All medical students are responsible for one acupuncture point, the location of that acupuncture point, and what nerves are next to it. The names of the acupuncture points are written in both Chinese and English. Therefore, I completed the three hundred and sixty acupuncture points in one month and kept typing. Keep proofreading this book and it's done. At that time, it was a sensation in all academic circles. If you want to read acupuncture and moxibustion without reading this book, it means that you don't know what nerves, muscles, and blood vessels are next to that acupuncture point. How can you be a medical student?

So I decided that this practical meridian acupuncture was a textbook at that time. The textbook was very troublesome. Many people came to ask for this book, so I set the price very high. When we first published it before, it was 1,600 yuan per book. Someone still bought it. Originally, I didn’t sell it. A month later, their group of people printed 500 copies at a time. They opened up the book and printed it. Some people said they wanted to sue him, but I said no. Anyway, I gave it away, the pricing is pretty cool! This time the publication is the 52nd edition, and the price is 2500 yuan. We still don't sell it. We will give it to you if we come to class at that time. This time I reduced all aspects of the font, and made the book a little smaller, making it a hardcover book, which will be easy to carry and find in the future. Each acupuncture point has one page and a picture. About one acupuncture point is close to two pages, some have one page, and some are two pages with pictures. So this book has a total of more than five hundred and sixty pages, and three hundred and sixty acupuncture points have more than five hundred pages. I am very happy that it is by far the most complete.

If you think about it, there were acupuncture teachings in the 1950s. I was sorting them out. It was completely sorted out in 1979 (Republic of 68), and it has been revised. Up to the 52nd edition, the total time is more than 40 years. There is no acupuncture book better than this. why? No one dares to have the courage to compile this book, because no one buys it! The person who wants to buy it only buys one copy, and it will go to photocopy.

Acupuncture at the free clinic does not take the pulse, it is a kind of observation and smell, and touch-that is, pressure. Japanese people regard touch as abdominal pressure, which is an abdominal examination. This touch is very important because some pain must be pressed, the area of the pain point Including its entire meridian, but when it is touched like this, I feel that it can match the pulse, because the pulse itself is a pattern of heartbeat from the blood. If you feel that it lacks something, the Chinese medicine practitioner will prescribe this thing. Give him a drink, the pulse will change, and it may not be accurate when touched, because acupuncture has a lot of reflexes. When there is a problem with the internal organs, it may reflect on a certain part and cause pain. Touching like this In principle, in Dacheng Acupuncture, it uses a Heluo language to define acupuncture and moxibustion is a very ancient medicine. Its expression is very close to Heluo language, ah! Yes! This is very successful. Don't underestimate: Ah! Yes! That’s it. At that time, the son of a senior study-brother of mine was the director of the acupuncture department at RongZhong hospital. He used Ashi point to write a sensational acupuncture paper. This paper was published in medical journals around the world, and he became very famous, so RongZhong hired ZhongJie as the director of the acupuncture department. He is my study-brother’s son and graduated from National Taiwan University. His father is a very friendly person.
